TOLEDO WOMEN'S ART LEAGUE —TWAL   Established in 1924, the Toledo Women' s Art League (TWAL) consists of talented women artists dedicated to furthering the artistic education of its members.  Members meet on the third Monday of every month September through May.  Meetings include demonstrations presented by area artists.  Food and friendship are abundant.  A candidate for membership must be sponsored by a current member.
PROSPECTIVE MEMBERS   Each member may submit the name of one prospective member during each club year.  A prospective member may be invited as a guest any month of the club year.  Donation for a guest is $2.  The following month, if the candidate wishes to become a member, she should submit a minimum of two finished pieces of art (not school or lesson projects) and a short art-related resume to her sponsor.  The sponsor will present the prospective member to the membership at that month's meeting and members present will vote at that time with the prospective member waiting in another room.  Membership shall be confirmed by affirmative vote of two-thirds of the members present at the meeting.
MEETINGS   The Toledo Women's Art League (TWAL) is an auxiliary of the Toledo Artists' Club (TAC).  TWAL meetings are held at the Toledo Artists' Club which is located in the Toledo Botanical Gardens.  Monthly meetings are held the thirdMonday of the month, September through May.  Meetings/Demonstrations time begin at 12:00pm.  A business meeting precedes each scheduled demonstration.  Dues for TWAL are $10.00 yearly for members of the Toledo Artists' Club, and $20.00 for TAC non-members, payable by the September meeting.  Guests at any meeting pay $2.00.  New members shall begin payment of dues upon acceptance of membership in the League.
EXHIBITING RULES   Members must be in good standing having paid their dues for the current year to be eligible to enter the organization's exhibit(s).  No giclee prints of original work are permitted in exhibits.
