Plein Air Competition

INFORMATION

2025 TAC Plein Air Competition

Turn in registration forms at Toledo Artists' Club before or on the day of the event.


The maximum frame size is 20 inches on the longest side. Work intended for this event may be in the technique and of any subject the artist chooses.


Frames are encouraged but not required.

The Club retains the right to reject any inappropriate or inappropriately framed entry.


Important dates

  • Thursday, October 9, 2025: Painting Day in the garden: 9:00-4:00 p.m.
  • Friday, October 10, 2025: Painting Day in the garden: 9:00-4:00 p.m.
  • Saturday, October 11, 2025: Painting Day in the garden: 9:00-4:00 p.m.
  • Sunday, October 12, 2025: "Wet Paint" Sale - In The TAC studio: 12:00-3:00 p.m. All work you want in the sale must be delivered to the studio no later than Saturday, October 12.
  • Framed Plein Air artwork displayed in the TAC studio from October-December


Eligibility and Entry Fee
Open to all
$20.00 for one or two pieces. The fee is paid when you register.

Awards

The juror chosen by the Toledo Artists’ Club Board Members will select these awards:

  • First Place: $75.00
  • Second Place: $50.00
  • Third Place: $25.00


Artwork sales information

You may set a price and mark your artwork for sale or mark it not-for-sale (NFS). The contact information of any buyer will be provided to the artist shortly after the close of the exhibit. The artist is responsible for arranging the delivery to the purchaser of any work sold. For all work that is sold, the sale price minus
a commission (25%) to Toledo Artists’ Club will be remitted to the artist within 30 days of the end
of the show. The commission is not taken the day of the "wet paint" sale.

"Wet Paint" Sale

October 12, 2025 - 12:00-3:00 p.m.

Participating artists can reserve a table the day of the sale. Display completed plein air works and other pieces. Artists are welcome to paint while chatting with visitors. No rent fee. No commission.

Note: you are responsible for taking sales the day of the sale. Tables are first come, first serve. Reserve a table with the office @ info@toledoartistclub.com
