Award winners at a club Gallery Reception
Toledo Women's Art League (TWAL) in April
The Toledo Women's Art League will display their annual gallery show for the month of April.
Important dates:
- Thursday, March 26 – Friday, March 27 between 1 and 4 pm - Drop off paintings at TAC
- Friday, March 27 – Jurying. Please note that approximately 50 pieces of artwork will be juried into the show due to space constraints. Limit of 3 entries. Artwork that is not accepted for the exhibit should be picked up during normal TAC office hours no later than Saturday, April 4, unless other arrangements are made.
- Saturday, March 28 – Hang exhibit in gallery
- Sunday, March 29– Exhibit opens
- Sunday, April 12, 1-4 pm – Artists’ Reception and Awards
- Wednesday, April 29 – Exhibit closes
- Thursday, April 30 – Friday, May 1 between 1 and 4 pm – Pick up paintings at TAC
2026 Artists' Choice Online Show: Open Expressions April 1-May 30, 2026
Artists who have been accepted for the show will be notified by March 18th.
May Show: Adrian Center for the Arts
We are excited to host The Adrian Center for the Arts, as they exhibit artwork in our gallery for the month of May. In return, they will welcome artwork from our members in 2027. This partnership provides opportunity for both organizations to reach wider audiences, and support our artists. Reception date to be announced.
June Show: Birds, Bugs, & Blooms
Online entries begin April 1, and end April 28, 2026. Start framing your nature photos now!
Drawing Bootcamps

Part I: Drawing Bootcamp June 4,11, & 18
Drawing is about finding relationships and problem-solving, so learning to draw from observation is an essential element to enhancing creative thinking in all areas of life.
In this class we will introduce and practice the skills you need to become excellent at drawing. These include perceiving edges, positive and negative space, and using a viewfinder and a grid. Becoming better at drawing can eliminate some frustrations in painting as you become better able to plan compositions and analyze value within your paintings. If you have always wanted to learn how to draw, or feel you missed out on some basics, this class if for you. The premise of this class is that everyone can learn how to draw. Appropriate for mature high school students.
Part II: Drawing Bootcamp: Light and Shadow, September 3,10,17
These three sessions will focus on light and shadow, perceiving value relationships, and understanding "light logic" including cast shadow, form shadow and reflected light. You do not need to have attended the first session of the Drawing Bootcamp although that will have been helpful.

Children's Art Camp
