Here’s a quick snapshot of what’s happening at the Toledo Artists’ Club!


 Inktober Challenge Continues...

You can still join the INktober Challenge. Meetings and ink demonstrations are on Mondays, noon - 2 pm, $10 per session you can pay when you come!


Show Entry

Deadline for the online entry for the next TAC Exhibit "Local Visions" is October. Your inspiration need not be the city of Toledo. Think Ohio and SE Michigan! If you need help entering, please contact the office and we can help!


Matting Bootcamp

 November 15, noon - 2:30 pm. Space is limited to 8 people. $25 members, $30 non-members. See the information on the website under workshops.


Heralding the Holidays

Mark your calendars December 5, 6, & 7

Volunteers are needed to help with bake goods, baskets, items for the silent auction, raffle, door greeters, and sales assistants. See the Heralding the Holidays Link under the Special Events tab on the website.

  • Mondays – Morning Painters Group meets at various locations around the area
  • Tuesdays – Plein Air Painters meet at 9:30 am, different locations weekly
  • Tuesdays – Acrylic Class with Laurel Egnew, 1–3 pm at TAC This is an ongoing class. payable by the month.  Laurel has experience in a broad range of mediums, and welcomes the medium of your choice.
  • Wednesdays – All Media Class with Paul Brand, 2–4 pm at TAC, $20
  • Thursdays – Morning Painters Group, 9:30 am at TAC
  • Saturdays – Elaine’s Little Picassos Class (ages 7–12), 10–11 am at TAC, $8
  • Saturdays – Hyter Portrait Group, 10 am–12 pm, Cafeteria at Common Space One (1700 N. Reynolds Rd.), $5
  • Last Wednesday of the Month – Adult Watercolor Arty Party Class with Elaine Scarvelis, 6-8:30 pm TAC, $25
  • Third Thursday of the Month – Figure Drawing Group, 6:30–9 pm in the TAC classroom, $10
  • Special Session: Mondays, Sept. 29 – Nov. 3 – INKtober series, $50 for 6 weeks

The Bedford Art Show

Here is some information about the Annual Arts for Our Future show coming up at the Bedford Branch Library. The cost is $30 to enter up to 3 pieces in 6 categories. Art needs to be dropped off at the library on Thursday, October 30, and a reception will be held on Sunday, November 2, at 3 pm.

This  Roche de Boeuf Bridge article was authored by local freelance writer Carroll McCune. It may be of huge interest to the throngs of people who visit the site for various reasons, for the many photographers and plein air or studio artists who like to capture it with their talents, and for anyone who just likes to preserve beautiful historical landscapes and would appreciate this update.
