Toledo Artists' Club new online and gallery show.

The Toledo Artists Club’s next online and live gallery show is the “America” show. Celebrate our American heritage, our beautiful country, our parades, veterans, caregivers, the flag and patriotic fireworks. We will begin accepting entries May 28, 2021. Deadline to complete online submission of artwork is June 23, 2021. The prospectus and application are available here.

The Terhune Art Gallery will be premiering our Artist in Residence Program this summer.

Artist in Residence: Beth Genson.

The Owens Community College Department of Fine and Performing Arts welcomes Beth Genson as the first Artist in Residence. Genson will be featuring her solo exhibit "The Heavens and Earth" and offering a variety of "The Art of Encaustic" classes to students, faculty, staff and the community during her time in residency. Genson is a graduate of Bowling Green State University with degrees in Fine Art and Teaching. She recently completed an Advanced Teaching Encaustics course at R&F Paints in New York.

The Art of Encaustic Classes

Whether you are an artist or just want to have fun, you can't help but be inspired as you discover the process of applying hot wax and pigment along with other materials to create abstract or representational works of art. All equipment, tools and supplies for these classes are included in the cost. Bring an apron to cover your clothing and wear closed-toe shoes. Must be 18+ and sign a release as you will be working with hot wax.

Intro to Encaustics: June 3rd 6-9PM & July 20th 9AM-12PM
Techniques in Encaustic: June 17th 6-9PM & August 3rd 9AM-12PM
Encaustic Studio: July 15th 6-9PM & August 17th 9AM-12PM

20/20 Vision: Impressions of a Remarkable Year

On June 19^th from 11am-3pm Holistic Hands Wellness Gallery, 2086 Brookdale Avenue,

Toledo, Ohio 43606 is hosting an outdoor Art Expo/Small Business Showcase. You are invited to attend this multisensory experience! We are also currently welcoming artists and vendors to submit an application to exhibit pieces and sell merchandise. Artists are encouraged to enter works of all styles, including (but certainly not limited to) Performing Arts, Painting, Sculpture, Music, Literature, Film, Make up/nail/hair design, Clothing, etc. Themes must relate to the multitude of events that took place in 2020.
